ANNUAL EVENTS AT SAI SADAN

Sri Ramanavami Festival

A must to watch festival at the temple. At Sri Saisadan, this festival is celebrated for 3 days with great show and pomp. Before the celebrations, Sri Sai Satcharitra Sapthaha Samuhika Parayan is done for 7 days and the celebrations begin with Abhisekham and chanting of Sainamam. In the morning poojas are performed. In the evening sandal procession takes place. The sandal paste is taken to Darga where muslims & hindus offer prayers at the Darga and the sacred sandal paste is brought back to the temple with muslim fakirs prayers. After the sacred sandal paste reaches our temple prayers are offered in our temple and the pushpa radhosthavom and GandhaMahoshtavam starts from our temple as a procession with all the devotees chantings if Sainamam is taken surrounding streets of temple with muslim fakir bhajans, devotees kolatam, pandari bhajans with melam.  After the procession reaches the temple, prayers are offered at Sri Saisadan and the sandal paste is put on the walls of the temple and distributed to the devotees. Dances and prayers by  pandari bhajan, beautiful decorated horse, chanting of sai naam are a pleasure to watch for any in this procession. This is one leading example for perfect communal harmony. Annaprasadam is also distributed for all the devotees in a large scale.

Sri Vijayadasami

This is the day when Sai Baba took his mahasamadhi. To commemorate this people light oil lamps in the temple during afternoon. Temple also maintains two “Akhanda Deepams”. Two oil lamps continuously keep glowing in the temple through out the year. On this day, the lamps are taken, pooja is performed and kept back in the same position. In the morning Rudrabhisekhams, Prayers are performed. Palki procession is taken round the temple on this festival duing the evening. Annaprasad for all the devotees is undertaken in a grand scale.

Sri Guru Poornima

One of the most important festival that highlights the importance of Guru. It has been dated back to centuries where the role of Guru has been more prevalent in Indian heritage and culture. On this day at Sai Sadan, the complete study of Satcharitra and Guru Charitra is performed by the devotees. Annaprasadam for all devotees is undertaken in a grand scale.

Deepavali

Widely celebrated festival in India. On Diwali day, Sri Dhanalakshmi pooja (4:30 PM) is done in the temple. During evening, devotees also fire crackers on this occasion.

Temple Anniversary

Every year on May 12, the anniversary of the temple is celebrated. Annaprasadam is done in a large scale for all the devotees.
